Basic Personality: Duncan is a bit of an enigma due to the fact that he was killed and this is his Ghola form (Ghola is the term for a reanimated body using special “cloning” like techniques) His mechanical eyes display no emotion and his mechanical motions and gestures give little clue to those things. He has an engrained sense of at “home” while being under the direct order of a superior. Despite having the outward appearance and sense of a ‘machine’ he is human, and soft. Idaho is rather slow to anger and when he does he will not show it outwardly due to the fact that he finds showing strong emotion is a sign of not being under total control. Being in control is something he is proud of.
background: Duncan found himself in the Central Neisenma train station two years ago, with nothing in his mind but his name resonating and the streaming information coming from his mechanical eyes. He wandered the whole of Neisenma and spent several months in the desert of Home, he felt very adapted to the desert, but he felt a nagging in his mind that the desert was not for him.
One day upon walking through Midgar a thief attempted to mug him. in a matter of seconds he dropped the thief using his special fighting style. this small scuffle was watched though by a Shinra soldier recruiter and thus Duncan Idaho's days of wandering were over.
He slowly rose through the ranks of soldiers who were ten years younger than him and found himself an elite soldier with a well to do apartment on the top level.
